Jami DeBrango-Palumbo
Jami DeBrango-Palumbo is currently the Vice President (VP) and Global Head of Sequencing Operations for F. Hoffman-La Roche Ltd., headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. Roche is a leader in research-focused healthcare with combined strengths in pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. Roche is the world's largest biotech company, with truly differentiated medicines in oncology, immunology, infectious diseases, ophthalmology and neuroscience. Jami holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. In addition, she has earned various certifications in biological manufacturing and engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and London Business School.
Prior to her current role, Jami was VP at Genentech Inc. for the Global Regulatory Complexity Management Program, a program focused on simplifying a complex network of global regulatory processes, which spanned more than 150 countries. She joined Genentech Inc. in 2005 with the Biogen-Idec acquisition, and has since served in roles of increasing responsibility. These roles spanned from Human Resources and Facilities to Engineering, Supply Chain and Safety, Health and Environment. She continued to work her way up the corporate ladder, shattering the glass ceiling, by taking on senior leadership roles such as Global Head of Process Excellence, Pharma Technical Operations Biologics. She is well known for her transformational role as the President and Site Head for Roche Carolina, Inc., a Pharma Technology Small Molecules site.
Kristin's Fund-Community Involvement
Jami is active in her community. In addition to Co-Founding Kristin's Fund, she also serves on the Advisory Board of the Hollings Cancer Center and Lead Inclusively Inc., which champions the advancement of diversity and inclusion. She has volunteered time to support organizations such as The School Foundation in Florence, SC, The United Negro College Fund, and St. John the Evangelist Church.
For Kristin's Fund, Jami oversees the organization and structure of Kristin's Fund, Inc., the Gala Fundraising Committee, and has been lead contact with several organizations that Kristin's Fund has funded and partnered with on domestic violence initiatives.
