Gina Pearce

Gina Pearce is an experienced marketing, public relations, and fund development expert. During phase one of her career, she spent more than 20 years creating marketing, branding and fund development strategies in the corporate, agency and non-profit sectors. Her past positions include director of marketing at ParTech, Inc., an international software company, Director of Marketing and Sponsor Relations at The Boilermaker Road Race, an internationally recognized non-profit event, and Public Relations and Account Manager at Trainor Associates, a forward-thinking marketing agency. Her experience encompasses all areas of marketing, fund raising and event management, including project management, writing, volunteer and sponsor relations, advertising, and media relations. In addition, she is well respected for her management and mentoring skills.

In phase two of her career, Gina decided to become an entrepreneur. She earned a degree in interior design from The Interior Design Institute and decided to invest in a franchise. Now, as owner of Gina Pearce-Decorating Den Interiors, Gina enjoys creating beautiful, functional homes and work spaces for her clients.

Kristin's Fund-Community Involvement

After Kristin's death, Gina spent several years focusing on family and researching domestic violence causes, effects and needs in her community and beyond. After establishing relationships with agencies such as the New York State Department of Criminal Justice and New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence and local domestic violence service providers, she worked with her brother, Joe, and sister-in-law, Jami to form Kristin's Fund. Now, Gina serves her community by sharing her passion for creating domestic violence awareness through her involvement in Kristin's Fund and by sharing her story to further prevention efforts. Her past community volunteer efforts include working on several election campaigns and raising funds for local domestic violence agencies.

Joe Palumbo

Joe has spent his entire 19-year career working with, and catering to, the distinct needs of professional athletes and those in the sports business. He has a unique, exceptional background and his knowledge stems from his prior experiences in professional sports as a contract advisor, attorney (non-practicing) and the financial services industry, focusing on professional athletes and sports professionals. He has helped NFL All Pros, Super Bowl Champions, and many other athletes and their families along the path to financial security.

Joe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in politics from Ithaca College where he was also played for the NCAA Division III Football National Championship team in 1991 and was awarded the NCAA Division III Football All American in 1993. Joe earned his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2002, and then securities and insurance licenses after joining the Heide Wealth Management Group.

Kristin's Fund-Community Involvement

Joe has always been active in his community. He has enjoyed coaching youth baseball, basketball, and Jiu Jitsu. After Kristin's death, Joe began to research and study domestic violence and abuse. He also completed training to be a volunteer at DV long term safe house in Florence, SC where he mentored women on financial independence and how it can help them avoid or escape abusive relationships. In Co-Founding Kristin's Fund, Joe focuses primarily on the mens' aspects of the issue, leading, speaking, and pushing for the education of young men on healthy and respectful relationships with women.

Jami DeBrango-Palumbo

Jami DeBrango-Palumbo is currently the Vice President (VP) and Global Head of Sequencing Operations for F. Hoffman-La Roche Ltd., headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. Roche is a leader in research-focused healthcare with combined strengths in pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. Roche is the world's largest biotech company, with truly differentiated medicines in oncology, immunology, infectious diseases, ophthalmology and neuroscience. Jami holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. In addition, she has earned various certifications in biological manufacturing and engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and London Business School.

Prior to her current role, Jami was VP at Genentech Inc. for the Global Regulatory Complexity Management Program, a program focused on simplifying a complex network of global regulatory processes, which spanned more than 150 countries. She joined Genentech Inc. in 2005 with the Biogen-Idec acquisition, and has since served in roles of increasing responsibility. These roles spanned from Human Resources and Facilities to Engineering, Supply Chain and Safety, Health and Environment. She continued to work her way up the corporate ladder, shattering the glass ceiling, by taking on senior leadership roles such as Global Head of Process Excellence, Pharma Technical Operations Biologics. She is well known for her transformational role as the President and Site Head for Roche Carolina, Inc., a Pharma Technology Small Molecules site.

Kristin's Fund-Community Involvement

Jami is active in her community. In addition to Co-Founding Kristin's Fund, she also serves on the Advisory Board of the Hollings Cancer Center and Lead Inclusively Inc., which champions the advancement of diversity and inclusion. She has volunteered time to support organizations such as The School Foundation in Florence, SC, The United Negro College Fund, and St. John the Evangelist Church.

For Kristin's Fund, Jami oversees the organization and structure of Kristin's Fund, Inc., the Gala Fundraising Committee, and has been lead contact with several organizations that Kristin's Fund has funded and partnered with on domestic violence initiatives.
